01. What happens at Element Studio
We
are a fully equipped, professional recording facility based in the
centre of Hull. From recording full bands, solo artists and singers
to voice overs and string musicians, we do it all!
Our main aim, here at Element, is to take on bands at an earlier stage
and help them develop over time, giving them a stepping stone to further
success in the music industry.
02.
How does the recording process work?
We
like to cater for every session individually and work to how the
client wishes to work. We are completely flexible and always open
to ideas.
03.
How long should I book for?
When it comes on deciding how much time you
need for your session, the answers are endless. For the most accurate
quote it is best to contact us and we can have a chat about what
you want to get out of your session and decide from there.
We do have session deals which are a set amount
of time at a discounted price. You can find a full list of all our
offers here.
04. What should I bring to the
session?
When you meet with your producer/engineer
before the session he will talk through with you what you need to
bring and what equipment we have here for you to use.
05.
Can I use my own producer/engineer
At the moment we only use our own engineers
as it is a new studio and needs that extra bit of TLC. Producer
wise we are always happy to get outside opinions and welcome any
that you wish to work with.
06. How much will my session cost?
You can either contact
us to talk about your session or go over to the rates
page and see what session meets your needs.
07. How can I pay for the session?
At the moment we only take cash and cheques
made payable to Runke D G T/A Element Studio. We also have offers
that you can buy via our secure Paypal account.
08. Are there any payment terms?
For any advanced booking we ask for a small
deposit, for bands it's £50 and for any small acts or solo
artists it is £25. The rest of the money must be paid up in
full at the end of the session. No audio will be passed over until
all money has been paid in full.
09.
What hapens if my session over runs?
This is all decided at the producer's/engineer's
discretion. If only a small amount of work is left to do then they
are likely to to carry on free of charge until it is finished. If
this is not the case then you will be charged at the normal hourly
rate provided the studio is still available to use.
10.
How will I get my completed recordings?
At the end of the session you will be given
the master on a printed Element CD-R provided the session has been
payed for in full. You also have the choice to have your audio taken
away on a DVD-R if you require any raw audio. We also use a secure
FTP service if you require an audio but are unable to get to the
studio.
11. How available is the studio?
The best way is to contact and see when we
are free to arrange dates for your session.
12. Can I view the studio before my session?
Yes you can! If you contact
us about it then we can give you an appointment time to look around
and have a chat with us.
13. Can I cancel my session?
You can cancel your session but any cancellations
within 48 hours of your session will result in a loss of your deposit.
We do ask for a minimum of 48 hours notice for any cancellations.
14.
Are there any vacancies?
At the moment we are not looking to employ
anyone or do any work experience. We are always looking for ways
to expand the Element family so feel free to contact
us with any ideas you may have!
